Overview

Our Mission

Empower the next generation of Christian leaders to live a life in faith and service to the Glory of God.

Our Vision

A lasting program to develop disciples of Jesus Christ for the renewal of the Church.

Impact

The Incarnation Fellows Program engages and develops young disciples of Christ prepared to make a significant impact on their local church, the global church, their families and communities. Fellows will graduate trained for reconciliation, mentoring, service to the poor and the church, ongoing spiritual growth, worship and practical leadership.

The result of the Incarnation Fellows experience leads some graduates into ministry and others into the corporate workforce. These future leaders are equipped to serve wherever God may call them.

Incarnation Fellows live in the heart of Dallas rent-free with host families from Church of the Incarnation, providing strong intergenerational relationships.

While they take time to explore all the city has to offer, they also build a common spiritual life of prayer, forge deep friendships, and learn to honestly reconcile disputes.

We believe that living in a Christian community greatly impacts the experience of the program and offers the fellows an instant network of support and care.

In our work, this is our prayer: Deliver us in our various occupations from the service of self alone, that we may do the work you give us to do in truth and beauty and for the common good. Together, we discern what God has called you to be and do.

The metropolitan economy of Dallas is the sixth largest in the United States and advanced to become the fourth-largest employment center in the nation. The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex also has one of the largest concentrations of corporate headquarters for publicly traded companies in the United States. The city of Dallas has 12 Fortune 500 companies, and the DFW region as a whole has 20.

Utilizing the network of connections within the Church of the Incarnation community, the Incarnation Fellows Program assists each Fellow in obtaining a part-time, paid internship. After reviewing your application and connecting you with potential employers, we do our best to arrange a position that matches your field of interest. Fellows should expect to make around $10,000 over the course of their nine-month job.

Through daily prayer and worship, Bible and book studies, guest lecturers, retreats, and classes with our Director-Theologian, each Fellow grows deeper in their walk with Christ and learns how to lead others on the journey.

The Incarnation Fellows participate in Sunday worship, Morning and Evening Prayer, and Compline. These services are treasures of the Anglican spiritual tradition and are prayed by Christians for centuries and around the world. They include ancient prayers, daily recitation of the Psalms, and engaging with portions of the Bible.

Each week through meaningful dialogue, they explore current events and modern day issues through the lens of Biblical principles and Christian teachings provided by theologians, clergy, and lay leaders.

They also share weekly meals in the homes of members of Church of the Incarnation. These Monday night dinners provide life-giving fellowship, a place for authentic conversations, and offer practical life skills that range from finance management to relationship development.

In addition to worship, education, and life skills, fellows grow in their relationship with Christ through service in and through the church. Jesus taught that when we serve our neighbors we’re serving Christ too, and growing closer to Him.

The Incarnation Fellows program gave me time to breathe and figure out my job, community, and how my faith played into both after graduating college. As a fellow, you are connected to your peers and the church in a way that typically takes years to grow. The program truly shaped the path I’m on today. Through fellows, I worked at a Christian-owned marketing consulting agency that I have now been with now for 5 years. I stayed connected to the church post-fellows and worked as the Nursery Coordinator and then was fortunate to get married there as well. While the fellows program lasts only 9 months, the relationships and the work you put in will impact what you do next and create lasting connections.

Incarnation Fellows pushed me to step into more leadership roles and be more active in my church and community. I am blessed by my experience and it has helped shape the leader I am today.
